Bella’s Carnivore Nachos

Traditional nachos are a no-go on a carnivore diet, but this version uses "Carnivore Crisps" (thinly sliced, dehydrated chicken breast) to provide that essential crunch. By layering the chips with pre-cooked ground beef and plenty of shredded cheese in the air fryer, the cheese acts as a delicious "glue" that binds the protein together. It’s a fast, satisfying dish that hits all the salty, cheesy notes of the original.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag approx. 1.5–2 oz Chicken Breast Carnivore Crisps
  • 3/4 lb ground beef pre-cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups cheese shredded (such as sharp cheddar, pepper jack, or a Mexican blend)
  • Optional: Sour cream and hot sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Prepare the Tray: Line the bottom of your air fryer basket or tray with a piece of parchment paper. This prevents the cheese from sticking to the basket and makes cleanup effortless.
  • Layer the Base: Place a single layer of the chicken breast chips across the bottom of the tray, overlapping them slightly to create a sturdy base.
  • Build the Layers: Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded cheese over the chips, followed by a layer of the pre-cooked ground beef.
  • Repeat: Add another layer of chicken chips, followed by the remaining cheese and ground beef. Feel free to add any other carnivore-approved toppings at this stage, such as crumbled bacon or steak bits.
  • Air Fry: Slide the tray into the air fryer. Cook at 350°F for 5 minutes.
  • Check for Melt: The nachos are done when the cheese is completely melted, bubbly, and just beginning to turn golden at the edges.
  • Serve: Carefully lift the parchment paper to slide the nachos onto a plate. Serve immediately while the cheese is hot and stretchy.
  • Dipping: Enjoy as-is, or serve with a side of sour cream and a dash of hot sauce if desired.
  • Storage: These are best enjoyed immediately to maintain the crunch of the chips. If you have leftovers, store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 2–3 minutes.
